Help Us Grow

Membership in the Escambia Education Association should be important to you but more importantly, your being a part of our organization is very important to us.  So we are asking for you to help by asking a non-member to join our association.

Educators work best when everyone contributes fully to the success of the organization.  EEA will continue to negotiate contracts and advocate with management on your behalf.

When people give you reasons for them not to join, ask them, would you be better off negotiating your own working conditions, salary and benefits?  Do you have the time, resources and governmental knowledge to work directly with legislators in order to bring about laws that will benefit public schools?  If a problem arises, do you have the ability to represent yourself in court or before the school board?  Do you know, and can you afford, a good lawyer who is skilled in interpreting civil and labor laws as they apply to the teaching profession?

Tell them that their local association (EEA) is backed by an extensive organization of people at the national (NEA) and state (FEA) levels.  Together we are all dedicated to just one purposed, the success of public education.  Tell them that we recognize that they are integral part of that success.

I would tell them that if you’ve not a member, we invite and welcome you to join our team of unity!  If you are a member, we thank you and ask that you tell a colleague how EEA improved your life.
